ROMANIA: Further Increase in Work Permit Quotas for 2020

January 6, 2020

The Romanian government has increased to 30,000 the total number of work permits that can be issued in 2020 to non-EU nationals, up by 50% from 20,000 in 2019.

As last year, this year’s quota has not been allocated by category of work permit.

Romania’s work permit quotas run from 1 January every year and are decided annually by the government, based on proposals from the Ministry of Labour.
