The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has recently released the November 2025 AWOTE figures. This release automatically updates the income thresholds for certain employer-sponsored subclass 482 and subclass 186 applications in Australia.

The change affects applications lodged from July 1, 2026. Applications lodged before this time are not affected by these changes.
Employer sponsors need to be aware that this change affects not only prospective visa applicants, but also the Australian Market Salary Rate for new applications, as well as related sponsor obligation compliance for existing visa holders.
