Immigration Summary

A work permit, issued for one year and renewable for a further year at the Ministry's discretion, is the standard immigration process for foreign national specialists/technicians in their industry and/or directors/representatives of foreign companies, working in Lebanon. In all cases the applicant will need to sign a local employment contract with the host entity. Work permit approval must be granted, and a work visa obtained before the applicant enters Lebanon. The applicant can only start working after obtaining their final work permit following their arrival into the country, which can mean a delay of up to six weeks prior to a legal work start date

Note that business owners or partners will follow a slightly different process.
