Immigration Summary

A standard Work Authorisation process for local hire or transfer between sister companies first requires a local labour market search and an approval from Agence Nationale de Promotion de l'Emploi et des Competences (ANAPEC). The work permit is usually issued for up to a year and is renewable without restriction.

The Work Authorisation process for assignment to a subsidiary is expedited as a local labour market search and ANAPEC approval is not required. Although not an official requirement, it is recommended that the applicant have at least 12 months employment experience with the sending entity. Work and residence permits are capped at three years under this category, but the applicant may apply to change status in Morocco to a local hire provided they fulfill the relevant criteria and the ANAPEC approval can be obtained.
