Following the full phase-out of the AVDH authentication system and the integration of the FEDOR service into Hungary’s ePapír platform, employment authorities now require immigration documents to be signed using a qualified electronic signature and timestamp. This applies where companies or individuals sponsoring visas or permits are required—or elect—to submit documents electronically.

While employers may continue to submit applications via authorised representatives, companies must now formally register those representatives in the Central Register of Dispositions (Rendelkezési Nyilvántartás – RNY) for immigration matters.
