About Us
A Consulting Firm with the Reach of an Operator
For more than three decades, Newland Chase has done the work that others find too complex, too fast-moving, or too consequential to take on. That is not a tagline. It is how we have come to be the firm that global employers call when immigration intersects with strategy.
Our Story
Newland Chase was founded to give corporations a serious advisory partner in a market dominated by transactional visa processors. We grew by taking on the engagements other providers walked away from - multi-jurisdiction sponsor license remediations, crisis evacuations, post-merger immigration integrations, and the policy design work that sits behind every major mobility program.
In 2014, we joined CIBT - the global leader in visa, immigration, and document services, founded in 1989 and serving more than 75% of the Fortune 500. The combination gave us the operational backbone of the world’s most established cross-border services group, while we retained the consulting identity, senior bench, and editorial independence that distinguish us in the advisory market.
Today, Newland Chase Consulting is the strategic immigration arm of the broader CIBT family. We are deliberately built as a consulting practice - not a processing center with consultants attached.
What Makes Us Different
We Lead With Strategy.
Every Newland Chase Consulting engagement begins with a question, not a form. Our consultants ask what you are trying to accomplish as a business - and then design the immigration approach that delivers it. While work authorization procurement may follow, it is strategy that leads our engagement.
We Invest in Expertise.
Our senior advisors hold a combined 169 years of experience in corporate immigration, government affairs, and global mobility leadership. Several have shaped the policy you now have to comply with. That perspective is in the room on every advisory engagement.
We Work Where You Work.
From Houston to London, Sydney to Singapore, Dubai to São Paulo, our offices are staffed by locally qualified professionals who speak the language of the regulator, the embassy, and the in-country HR partner. Global frameworks are designed centrally. Local execution is done locally.
We Hold Ourselves to a Consulting Standard.
Our deliverables - board memos, policy designs, risk heatmaps, scenario analyses - are written to be read by Chief People Officers, General Counsel and Mobility Leaders, not filed in a case management system. We benchmark our work against the firms our clients also retain for strategy, tax, and law. That is the standard we believe immigration deserves.
The most expensive immigration mistake a company can make is treating immigration as only an operational function. We are the firm that prevents that mistake.
