Timothy Hughes

Timothy Hughes is the Chief Financial Officer at CIBT (parent company of Newland Chase), where he leads the company’s global financial strategy, supporting continued growth, operational excellence, and long-term value creation across its travel and immigration services portfolio. Hughes brings extensive international financial and operational leadership experience, with a strong track record of building disciplined financial infrastructure and partnering with executive teams, investors, and lenders to scale complex organizations.

Prior to joining CIBT, Hughes served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of a private equity-backed healthcare organization in the United States. In this role, he played a central part in scaling the business, establishing finance, accounting, treasury, and HR functions, and supporting strategic growth initiatives, including acquisitions. Earlier in his career, Hughes held senior leadership positions including Chief Financial Officer at Pilot Fiber, as well as advisory and restructuring roles at Alvarez & Marsal, Cain Brothers, Zolfo Cooper, and UBS Investment Bank.

Hughes holds a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of Victoria. He is based in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
