The Portuguese Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum (AIMA), which oversees immigration application processing, has been actively rescheduling appointments as part of its efforts to address a significant backlog of pending cases.

Applicants should anticipate delays in the processing of newly submitted applications while AIMA focuses on resolving older, outstanding cases. We will continue to monitor developments and keep clients informed of any further updates.
