Effective immediately, the United Arab Emirates has introduced a new mandatory requirement to include the passport external cover page as part of all UAE entry permit applications for both visit and work permits.
What is the passport external cover page?
The passport external cover page is the front-facing side of the passport. It features:
- A solid background color,
- The issuing country’s name, and
- The national emblem or official insignia.
This page serves as official proof of the passport’s origin and authority. Including this page helps UAE authorities quickly verify the document’s authenticity and issuing country.
Updated list of required documents.
Applicants for UAE Visit Visa Entry Permits must now submit the following:
- Copy of the passport (including bio-data page)
- Passport External Cover Page
- Clear, recent passport-size photograph
- Hotel booking confirmation
- Round-trip flight ticket copy
- Valid travel insurance
What this means for applicants.
To avoid delays or rejections, all UAE entry permit applications must include the external cover page of the passport. Applications missing this document will not be processed until all required materials are complete.
