The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) announced the 2025
quota projections for expatriates will be open from January 1, 2025. Employers
registered with MDEC will be able to submit their 2025 quota projections from that
date forward to cover any new or renewal applications they intend to submit
especially if the planned submission falls within the first quarter of 2025.
Employers must ensure that the correct year is chosen when applying for the quota.
Unutilized quota cannot be carried forward to the following year.
