What’s Changing

We would like to inform you that the National Immigration Institute (INM) has announced that, effective October 30, 2026, applications for Employer Registration Certificates (new registrations and/or updates), regularization procedures, and visa authorizations based on a job offer and/or family unity must be submitted exclusively through a prior appointment, scheduled via the INM’s online platform.

Impact on Filing Timelines

As a result of this new procedure, the filing date of applications will be subject to appointment availability established by the INM through its system, as well as the slots enabled in its electronic calendar.

It is important to note that this change will directly impact the timeline for filing the above-mentioned applications, as filings will now depend on the appointment availability assigned by the immigration authority. At this time, there is no official information indicating whether this measure will also affect processing times once the applications have been submitted.

How We Will Support You

Our team will continue to provide comprehensive support throughout the entire process, including the preparation and review of applications, as well as the ongoing monitoring and management of available appointments. We will also keep you informed of appointment scheduling updates and any circumstances that may require advance planning.

Recommended Action

To help optimize the management of your immigration processes and minimize potential delays arising from appointment availability, we kindly ask that you share with us, as far in advance as possible, any cases of this nature that you expect to initiate in the coming months. This will allow us to implement timely scheduling strategies and provide the highest level of support.

Next Steps

At Newland Chase Mexico, we will closely monitor the implementation of this new operational framework and keep you informed of any relevant developments, modifications, or updates issued by the immigration authorities.
