NETHERLANDS: Changes to Sponsor Fees and Filing Fees

From 1st January 2017, the current one-time fee to obtain a recognised sponsorship will decrease from €5,183 to €2,592 (a €2,591 decrease) for small businesses and start-ups with less than 50 employees. Established companies will also benefit from the low fee, if the company change their corporate structure, and file a new recognised sponsorship application. It is worth noting that as of 1st January, the government filing fee for knowledge migrant applications will increase from €881 to €910 for all recognised sponsors.

The new regulations should benefit small businesses and startups who wish to become recognised sponsors.
Recognised sponsors should prepare for the higher filing fee for all knowledge migrant applications; this will come into effect on on 1st January 2017.
