MALAYSIA: 2023 Quota Projections

ESD Registered Employers
The Malaysian authorities have announced that the 2023 quota projections for expatriates will be open from 7 October 2022. Employers with Expatriate Services Division (ESD) registration are able to submit their 2023 quota projections to cover any new or renewal applications they intend to submit for that specific year.
MDEC Registered Employers
Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) announced that the 2023 quota projections for expatriates will be open from 1 November 2022. Employers registered with MDEC will be able to submit their 2023 quota projections from that date forward to cover any new or renewal applications they intend to submit especially if the planned submission falls within the first quarter of 2023.

This is an annual process for Malaysian employers with ESD registrations and with MDEC registrations and it is recommended that employers submit their quota projections for 2023 as early as possible to avoid any delays in the application processing for any new or renewal applications they anticipate to submit for next year.
