VIETNAM – Semi-Annual Foreign Utilization Reporting Due in July

Employers in Vietnam who have foreign employees holding valid or current work permits are required to complete a semi-annual report regarding the utilization of foreign manpower by July 5, 2024.

The first half-year reporting requirement is due on the first week of July of the following year and covers the period from 15 December of the previous reporting year up to 14 June of the current reporting year. An annual report is due every January 5 of the following year and covers the period from 15 December of the previous year to December 14 of the reporting year.

Failure to complete this mandatory requirement may result in fines per the decree on administrative violations on HR-related matters. Newland Chase can assist employers in completing this process.
