The Czech Republic has expanded the list of work permit-exempt beneficiaries as part of its continuing effort to attract international talent. Effective March 1, 2025, Taiwanese passport holders are listed as work permit-exempt. The list already includes passport holders from Australia, Canada, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.
It should be noted that the following requirements still apply for Right to Work Compliance:
- Visa/Residence permit requirements
- Local registration requirements
- Change of Employer notification requirements
