ARGENTINA: Strike Expected to Affect Public Services

September 17, 2018

A general strike called by several large trade unions for 24 and 25 September in protest at the government’s economic policy is expected to affect services provided by the National Immigration Office (DNM), the National Civil Registry (RENAPER), the Social Security Agency (ANSES), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Registry of Recidivism (RNR) among others.

During another recent round of union action, RNR suspended its expedited police clearance certificate service, causing significant delays.

Existing appointments may have to be rescheduled without prior notice.
