CHILE: New Exit Permit Requirements

Effective 11 October 2019, foreign nationals who do not hold a valid tourist card, visa application receipt and/or residence receipt must request, by email and at least five days in advance of travel, a permit in order to exit Chile.

The request must attach the following documents:

  • Online or Correos de Chile receipt of the corresponding residence permit;
  • Travel ticket stating the destination; and
  • Letter explaining the reason for the exit request.
