CHINA – Further Updates on Entry Requirements

As of March 10, 2023, travelers from Mainland China, HK and Macau are not required to provide negative COVID test results upon their entry into the US. Since mid Feb, more than 40 countries have gradually dropped or relaxed the entry requirements for travelers coming from Mainland China, HK and Macau. These countries include Australia, South Korea, Japan, European countries, Sweden etc.

Meanwhile, some China Embassies/Consulates abroad have also announced that PCR tests will not be mandatory for travelers entering China.

In the meantime, visa-free policies of following programs will be resumed: Hainan 59 country visa free entry policy, 15-day visa free travel for cruise groups at Shanghai ports, visa free entry to Guangdong province for foreigners’ group from Hong Kong and Macau SARs, Visa free entry to Guilin of Guangxi autonomous region for tourist groups from ASEAN countries.
