CHINA: No More Quarantine and HDC for International Arrivals from 8th January 2023

December 27, 2022

China will scrap inbound quarantine and centralized isolation for international arrivals in an effort to resume travel normalcy from January 8, 2023. Travelers visiting China are required to take a nucleic acid test 48 hours before onboarding the plane and those whose results are negative can enter China without having secured a green health code, which is issued by the Chinese consular posts abroad.

In addition, China will further release a series of measures to facilitate foreigners’ travel to China for work, business, study, family visits and reunions in the next few weeks and months. China will also issue policies to allow Chinese citizens to make outbound trips very soon.
