CHINA: Shanghai Exit-Entry Bureau – Planned Closure for System Upgrade

The Shanghai Entry-Exit Expert Bureau will suspend all immigration applications between 22nd and 25th December 2017, as the national immigration system undergoes an upgrade.
Please note:
- During this period, the Bureau will not accept any new or extension applications or issue any permits via its headquarters, branches, self-service spots, on-line service or WeChat.
- For already submitted, pending applications, processing time will be prolonged by 8-12 working days.

Applicants for work and residence permits and visas, and their employers in China, should allow extra time for applications to be processed.
