Lessons in leadership and global business: Insights from CIBT CFO Kellie Goldstein.
March 7, 2025
As Chief Financial Officer of CIBT, Kellie Goldstein brings a wealth of experience in global finance, professional services, and business transformation. Since joining the company in July 2024, she has played a crucial role in driving efficiency and strategic growth. In a recent conversation with Samantha McKnight for CIBT’s YouTube channel, Kellie shared insights into her career journey, leadership philosophy, and vision for the future.
A career rooted in purpose and global impact.
Kellie’s decision to join CIBT was driven by a desire to work for a mission-driven organization with a strong global presence. Having spent much of her career in the B2B sector, she was drawn to CIBT’s role in facilitating international mobility for Fortune 500 companies and beyond.
“CIBT operates in 25 countries, making it truly global and interconnected. I was also a former client, so I understand firsthand how valuable our services are in simplifying complex immigration processes.”
Her personal experience as an expatriate in Hong Kong further deepened her appreciation for the complexities of immigration and global workforce mobility.
A drive for efficiency and excellence.
With a career spanning professional services, information services, and travel, Kellie has always been driven by the desire to make organizations more effective and efficient. Her approach to leadership is centered on continuous improvement and optimizing operations for success.
“I like to make things better and more effective. Early in my career, I set a goal to become a public company CFO, and I actively sought out diverse experiences to build a strong foundation for leadership.”
Looking ahead to 2025 and beyond.
As CIBT moves forward, Kellie is excited about the company’s growth and rebranding efforts, particularly with Newland Chase. She is optimistic about the recovery of business travel and the company’s role in shaping the future of global mobility.
“I’m looking forward to Newland Chase making a strong impact in the market and to business travel rebounding fully. Our work is more important than ever in a globally connected world.”
Empowering the next generation of female leaders.
As a female CFO in a historically male-dominated field, Kellie emphasizes the importance of self-advocacy and continuous learning for aspiring women in leadership.
“When I started, only about 5-10% of CFOs were female. That number has improved, but progress takes time. My advice: Advocate for yourself—no one else will do it for you. Know where you want to go, network internally and externally, and always maintain a growth mindset.”
She credits her professional network for opening new career opportunities and encourages women to seek credentials, expand their skills, and remain proactive in their career advancement.
Kellie’s journey is a testament to the power of ambition, adaptability, and leadership in a dynamic global landscape. As CIBT continues to evolve, her expertise and strategic vision will play a key role in shaping the future of our organization and the broader global mobility industry.
