DENMARK: Changes to Immigration Processes

The Danish authorities have recently implemented changes to the eligibility and processing of some Immigration Permits, which we have summarized below:

  • Roles in Positive List for Highly Educated and for Skilled Work have been updated
  • Foreign nationals who have recently graduated from university studies in Denmark, and are offered local employment contracts will be permitted to start work from the date of submitting their work and residence permit application. This exemption will be permitted for applications submitted in one of the below categories:
    • The Positive List for People with a Higher Education
    • The Positive List for Skilled Work  
    • The Pay Limit scheme
    • Researchers  
    • Special individual qualifications
    • The Fast-Track scheme
