DENMARK: New Procedure for EU National Immigration Applications [Updated]

April 9, 2019

Effective 1 April 2019, post-arrival residence document applications by EU nationals are handled by the Danish Agency of International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI). Previously, these cases were handled by the State Administration (RSA).

[UPDATE 9 April 2019]

*From 1 April 2019, SIRI has branches in Odense, Aalborg, Aarhus and Aabenraa and Copenhagen-Elleborjergvej for EU residence applications and in Copenhagen-Njalsgade for applications under the Danish Aliens Act.

*On Bornholm, applications for EU Residence must be submitted to the police in Rønne.

*At a later date, SIRI's two branches in Copenhagen will move to one common address.

*Applications submitted under the Aliens Act are accepted at a number of police stations nationwide and, later in 2019, will be accepted at all SIRI offices.

*From 10 April 2019, it will be mandatory to book appointments at SIRI Copenhagen-Ellebjergvej for applications for EU Residence.
