ITALY: All Travellers Subject to Border Control Until 30th May Due to G7 Summit

May 15, 2017

Italy has temporarily suspended the Schengen agreement and imposed border controls on all travellers between 10th and 30th May 2017, to enhance security during the upcoming G7 summit in Taormina on 26th & 27th May.

Our advice

All travellers to Italy during this period should carry a valid identity document and allow extra time to go through passport control at airports, seaports and land borders.
