JAPAN: Ports Reopening For Cruise Ships

International cruise operations have been suspended in Japan since March 2020, since the initial wave of COVID. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism (MLT) of Japan announced on 15 November 2022 the country will start re-opening ports for international cruise ships. The MLT has issued guidelines to cruise lines regarding the resumption of cruise operations to Japanese ports. Cruises to Japan are expected to resume gradually.
