ROMANIA: New Salary Requirement for Blue Card
January 22, 2020
Effective 9 January 2020, the minimum required salary for highly-skilled workers applying for an EU Blue Card has increased to RON 10,858 from RON 10,326.
This amount is calculated as twice the average gross salary, which has increased by 5.2% to RON 5429 from RON 5163.
Note that the minimum required salary for a standard work permit or intra-company transfer permit has not changed. This is equal to the minimum gross salary (currently RON 2350 per month).
The required means of support for dependent family members is also equal to the minimum gross salary (or RON 2350 per dependent).
