SWITZERLAND: D Visa Exemption for Non-EU National Schengen Residents

September 21, 2022

The Swiss authorities have opted to simplify the entry requirements regarding a stay of more than 90 days for a certain category of persons.

Indeed, third-country nationals holding a valid residence permit issued by a Schengen State or a valid D visa are exempt from the collection of the Swiss national type D visa, provided they are in possession of a recognized and valid travel document.
