UK: Sponsor Licence Removed from London School of Business and Finance

October 9, 2015

Last month, the UKVI removed the sponsorship licence held by the London School of Business and Finance from the Tier 4 and Tier 2 sponsor registers.

Many overseas Students and Employees of the college have been affected by the removal of the Sponsorship Licence held. This is because Removal from the Tier 4 and Tier 2 sponsor registers means the London School of Business and Finance cannot sponsor any new international students or workers.

The UKVI have advised that existing sponsored students and workers may continue with their studies or employment until a final decision on the status of the licence is made by the Home Office. However those who are required to apply for an extension of leave or who have not already been given a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) or Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) will be affected by the removal of the Sponsorship Licence. Visit the UKVI website for full details.

Students of the London School of Business and Finance who have obtained a visa to come to the UK but have not travelled are strongly advised by the UKVI not to travel to the UK where the college is not listed on the sponsor register.

Students who have been assigned a Certificate of Acceptance of Studies and are in the process of making an application for UK Entry Clearance or an Extension of stay from within the UK are advised to seek immediate advise and guidance  on how this will affect their potential or pending applications

It is important to be aware that the college does not have the ability to assign Students with a CAS and therefore Students whose leave ends must find an alternative sponsor or seek alternative permission to reside in the UK.
