UNITED KINGDOM: Increase in Fees for Majority of Visa Applications

The Home Office has released an update to the UK visa fees, effective 6 April 2022.

Notable changes include:

  • £15 increase for work visas
  • £5 increase for a six month visit visas or £15 increase for visit visas of a longer duration in most cases
  • £15 increase for student visas
  • £30 increase for priority service outside the UK (from 10 May 2022)
  • £15 increase for indefinite leave to remain applications

It has also been announced that Sopra Steria, the company that partners with the Home Office to provide visa appointments, is set to increase its fees in line with the announcement by the Office for National Statistics of inflationary uplift by 6.2%, effective from 4 May.
