On-Demand Webinar | The ETA Scheme: What You Need to Know

5 December 2023

As part of the government’s plans to strengthen and digitize the UK border, the UK has launched an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) scheme. ETAs are replacing Electronic Visa Waivers (EVW), which the majority of Gulf nationals currently apply for. The scheme will eventually roll out worldwide to all those who do not currently need a visa to visit or transit through the UK or who do not hold a UK immigration status, including nationals from Europe and America. Once fully implemented, the ETA scheme will apply to visitors to the UK who do not need a visa for stays of less than six months, or who do not have a valid UK immigration status before travelling. Join us on as our team of immigration experts is joined by representatives from the Future Borders Immigration and Strategy (FBIS) Engagement Team. This webinar will be a chance to hear from the UKVI and ask questions about the ETA policy, including the rollout under phases 1 and 2 and the rest of the world’s roll-out, anticipated in H2 2024.
