BELGIUM: Information Following Brussels Terror Attack

March 31, 2016

Following the terror attacks in Brussels last week, it is important that travellers in Belgium, or those planning on travelling there in the near future, ensure the correct documentation is with them at all times when travelling. This will include a passport or ID card, and you must be able to prove your identity if stopped by the police at any given time.

Once Zaventem-Brussels International Airport reopens, there is expected to be long delays and extra checks, so it is important that travellers are prepared for this. In the wake of the attacks many Government offices were closed and services suspended, this means that there will be backlog for foreign employees awaiting application approvals or work and stay authorisations.

If you are planning on travelling to Belgium you must prepare for close security and delays. If you have any questions regarding travelling to Belgium please contact us at [email protected].
