IRAQ: Ministry of Interior Summons Cancelled
January 25, 2018
UPDATE: As of 25th January 2018, the below-described summons from the Ministry of Interior (MOI) Residency Office has been cancelled until further notice.
On 18th January 2018, Iraq’s Ministry of Interior (MOI) issued a notification that they had served all foreign companies’ visa representatives a letter stating that the management of all foreign companies under a contract with a foreign army or embassy or an Iraqi entity must attend a meeting at the MOI Residency Office, on Monday 29th January 2018, to discuss all regulations issued from the MOI for the years 2017 to 2018.
Specific time and location were to be announced later, but visa representatives who signed to receive the letter were to be held responsible if the companies’ management failed to attend the meeting.
The MOI also sent the notice to the Ministry of Oil for dissemination to all oil and gas companies.
