Malaysia: 2024 Quota Projections for MDEC Registered Employers

The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) announced the 2024 quota projections for expatriates will be open from 1 November 2023. Employers registered with MDEC will be able to submit their 2024 quota projections from that date forward to cover any new or renewal applications they intend to submit especially if the planned submission falls within the first quarter of 2024.
2023 quota projections will close as of 15 November 2023. Employers must ensure that the correct year is chosen when applying for the quota. Unutilized quota cannot be carried forward to the following year.

This is an annual process for Malaysian employers with MDEC registrations and it is recommended that employers submit their quota projections for 2024 as early as possible to avoid any delays in the application processing for any new or renewal applications they anticipate submitting for next year.
