Newland Chase scoops two awards!

We are proud to announce that last night at the 2012/13 Re:locate Awards held at the prestigious Institute of Directors in Pall Mall, Newland Chase won two Re:locate awards. Judged by an esteemed independent panel including Global Mobility and Relocation professionals from the Rank Group, Willis, Marks & Spencer and American Express, we were awarded Best HR & Supplier Strategy and Relocation Team of the Year. As first time entrants to the awards, we are excited and grateful to be the only company at the event to come away with two awards.

Our first award was won for ‘Best HR & Supplier Strategy’ up against a shortlist of AllianceBernstein & Pro-Link GLOBAL, American Express, DuPont & Weichert Relocation, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development & FOCUS Information Services, Lloyds Register Group and Paragon Relocation. This category honours HR teams working with a supplier to deliver a relocation strategy that enhances their organisation’s business objectives and/or the quality of the relocation support provided to individual employees. Newland Chase won the award for a strategy that involved the complex transfer of almost 100 migrant workers to the UK, working with a large multinational. 

The judges said:

“Strategy always involves making choices and evaluating the outcomes of those choices; this was an entry that clearly took this into consideration, weighing up the consequences of actions carefully, to ensure that the desired results were achieved.”

“The outcomes of this strategic approach have benefits not only for the client company but also for the UK economy as a whole.”

Our second award was as ‘Relocation Team of the Year’ which recognises the team which can demonstrate that it provides excellent and effective relocation support services to clients and their relocatees. This was the category with the largest number of entries and the judges described the overall standard as being the best ever.

Since this was a broad category, with entries from large, small and specialist suppliers, 11 companies were shortlisted, and the judges made three separate awards: UK, International and Team. Newland Chase were awarded the Team of the Year award ahead of some of the biggest names in the industry including Cartus; Chiltern Relocation; HCR; London Relocation; NatWest Global Employee Banking; Pro-Link GLOBAL; and SIRVA.

This award is not only testament to the great team we have at Newland Chase but also to great the clients we have and who supported us with the entry by giving us glowing testimonials.

The judges said our entry showed evidence of a non-hierarchical set-up with a strong leader who fostered an open learning culture in which the team members were inspired to be proactive.

 “This worthy winner is inspiring – it made this judge want to work there!” commented one of the judges.

Re:locate magazine added that this was the best year yet for both quality and quantity of entries to the awards, which have become the ultimate recognition of excellence in all aspects of relocation, both in the UK and internationally. More than 200 guests from across the relocation industry attended the event which was presented by International broadcaster and foreign-affairs authority Stephen Cole.
