TURKEY: New Online Pre-Application System for Business and Work Visas

January 27, 2016

Effective 5th January 2016, applicants for business and work visas to Turkey must first submit all their application data online, before making an appointment with a Turkish consulate to finalise the application.

Applicable Visas

The new procedure applies to all applications for new visas which are issued as stickers in passports, rather than e-visas. These include business visas, work visas and Assembly, Maintenance and Service (AMS) visas.

New Procedure

The visa applicant must complete an online application form here with their personal and travel information, and upload copies of key documents. This data will be sent to the relevant consulate for pre-processing.

They can then make an appointment with the consulate to submit their application in person, including a signed application form and the originals of the documents that they have already uploaded.

Action Items

  • Ensure that applications for business, work and AMS visas are made online first.

  • Allow for possible delays due to the implementation of the new system.
