UK: Annual Allocations of Tier 2 Certificates of Sponsorship

January 14, 2016

UKVI Sponsorship Licence Holders are reminded that the annual allocations of Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS) under the Tier 2 (General) and Tier 2 Intra Company Transfer criteria will expire on 5th April 2016.

Sponsorship License Holders who require Certificates of Sponsorship for the period of April 2016 to April 2017 may need to submit a request for a renewal of their annual allocation. All applications for renewal should be submitted before 5th April 2016 or at the earliest opportunity.

Larger sponsors may note on the SMS that the annual allocation has been automatically renewed. In such instances the grant of the CoS allocation will be based on a sponsor”s previous usage.

Sponsors are only required to request an annual allocation if they intend to sponsor new migrants, or if existing sponsored migrants need to apply to extend their leave in the UK. Failure to renew an annual allocation will not affect any existing sponsored migrants if they do not need to extend their leave between the periods of April 2016 to April 2017.

If you are a sponsor who require assistance with their Annual Allocation Renewal, please contact us.
