Update for London Metropolitan Students

We have continued to follow the events unfolding at the London Metropolitan University, which had its licence to sponsor international students revoked by the UK Border Agency.
On the 21st September 2012 the High Court in London granted the University permission to seek a judicial review of the UKBA”s decision to revoke its Sponsor Licence.
Additionally, the High Court decided that existing international students holding Tier 4 visas, and those due to start a course this term, would be allowed to resume or begin their courses provided they are already in the UK with full immigration status, pending a resolution of the case.
Following this decision, the UKBA released updated guidance to the effect that existing genuine students may continue studying at the London Metropolitan until their course has ended or the end of the academic year, whichever is sooner.
This news will come as welcome relief to many students who have feared losing thousands of pounds already spent on tuition fees and having to find a new university place or return home.
